Kevin Durant isn't planning to take it easy anytime soon, and his latest remarks suggest he might keep playing into his 40s. What Durant said about his retirement plans
When Ross Sorkin inquired how long Durant aims to stay in the NBA, Durant replied candidly, "As long as I can. I mean... I haven't put a number on it yet. Obviously thinking about retirement every year. What would be like. Who knows man. But when people ask me these questions everyday. You know help myself. Annoying. Enjoy that struggle of getting better every day.
And grinding as an NBA player. Playing my 40s."
Ross Sorkin then turned to Kleiman, asking about discussions on Durant's post-playing future in the context of their business ventures. Kleiman replied, "Yeah, I'd say in last two years. Not intentionally. I've started framing things. In a different thought process. With no idea how long he'll play. Knowing as much as he wants. He feels like having fun. But it's important.

He further elaborated, “And built wealth while they were playing. So the urgency. It's not like How do we replace. The revenue that you've created. Its a certain amount of your time. That would be back Like, so. My body and soul. So That's the conversation. And its more about. The way anyone would prepare. For their business."Kevin Durant also talked about what he might do after retiring.
When someone asked him if he was interested in the 2028 Olympics, he replied, "Yeah if im still me. I don' t want the gift of the veteran come sit on the way some days I was some things that would it's tough. It's a personality, but we'll see i still enjoy going to the gym every day so.".
