Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao has advised candidates not to trust brokers or intermediaries who claim they can secure jobs in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs).
In a statement, Mr. Rao said a notification was recently issued for recruitment to 299 contractual posts of principals, post-graduate teachers (PGTs), contract residential teachers (CRTs) and physical education teachers (PETs) in KGBVs across the State. “The recruitment process is completely automated and merit-based. Selection will be made solely on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in their SSC, Intermediate, Degree, B.Ed., Post-Graduation, and B.P. Ed. qualifications,” he said, adding that candidates with higher merit scores would be selected and that there was no scope for recommendations, influence or inducements in this process.
Mr. Rao explained that the list of candidates who secure the highest merit scores through the online application process would be forwarded to the District Selection Committee (DSC) and candidates would then be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio (three candidates for each vacancy) and called for certificate verification. The entire certificate verification process will be conducted in a transparent and impartial manner under the supervision of the District-Level Committee headed by the District Collector, he said. Selections will be based exclusively on academic merit (weightage) and qualifications, he emphasised.

Mr. Rao said there would be no human intervention in the merit-ranking process and eligible women candidates would be selected strictly according to the software-generated merit list and roster points. He asked candidates to immediately report any individual demanding money or attempting to influence them in the name of recruitment, to the District Educational Officer (DEO) concerned or the Samagra Shiksha District Project Office (APC). “Candidates are advised to rely only on their merit and qualifications and not to fall victim to false claims, misleading publicity, or fraudulent promises,” he said.
