The journey to acting

Karan shared that he always wanted to become an actor, but he didn’t know how to start. "I wanted to become an actor. But what to do? How to become one? Where should I start? I don't know anyone. How can I tell someone... I want to become an actor. Take me," he said.

The schools he went to didn’t offer theater as a subject, so he had no guidance early on. It was in 2016 that theater entered his life and changed everything.

Theater became his mirror

Talking about his love for the stage, Karan said, "Theatre came into my life in 2016. It's like a mirror. When I come on stage, I become real. What you believe is not you. This is you. What happens on stage. That's why there's a respect for the stage." He also explained how performing live taught him to express himself and gave him a real connection to acting.

Education and career path

Karan also spoke about his steps after discovering theater. "Then I got to know about NSD. I got to know about FTII. If I want to go here... I should have a bachelor's degree. Then I did my BA in Hindi literature. So... it was because of theater. Otherwise, I passed 12th and 10th and did a diploma in hardware engineering. I got a job in a call center. But theater changed my life completely."On the other hand, 'Laalo's Hindi version has grabbed the attention of movie buffs. The Hindi version competed with 'Dhurandhar' and 'The Raja Saab.'
