Lobo: Govt must act strictly against ODP violations

Calangute: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo on Friday stopped construction work in the paddy fields at Nagoa that was being carried out based on approvals granted under the scrapped outline development plan (ODP) for Arpora-Nagoa village.Lobo said that all zoning certificates issued for construction under the ODPs have been cancelled following a high court judgment delivered in June.“These projects are all by people from Delhi, Bengaluru, Haryana, and other places. When we tell them to stop, their MLAs from those states make phone calls asking to allow the work. Govt must take strict action because this is a violation of the high court’s orders,” Lobo added.
