The BJP shared terrorist Yasin Malik’s affidavit in the Delhi High Court, in which he stated that Indian intelligence officials asked him to meet Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan in 2006.

Upon his return, he was instructed to debrief then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who thanked Malik for his role in the back-channel peace talks, according to Malik's affidavit, which was tweeted by BJP's IT head Amit Malaviya.

Calling it "shocking", Malaviya went on to say, "If these new claims are true, they raise grave questions about the UPA’s handling of national security and back-channel diplomacy."
