Vice-President C P Radhakrishanan
COIMBATORE: Medical institutions have two purposes to fulfil -- to take care of patients and to create qualified professionals who will ensure that patients are taken good care of, said Vice-President C P Radhakrishanan on Friday.Radhakrishanan was speaking at an event to mark the Golden Jubilee of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital and Silver Jubilee of Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital at Codissia Trade Fair Complex here. Radhakrishnan said, “The healthcare schemes created by both the state govt and the Centre focus on ensuring the wellbeing of the public. For the schemes to succeed, perfect coordination among all stakeholders is required.
”The Vice-President unveiled the commemorative logos for both Sri Ramakrishna Hospital and Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital. He presented awards to outstanding doctors and staff members for their exemplary performance in the healthcare field. The event was presided over by Dr R Sundar, managing trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust. Joint managing trustee S Narendran and trustees V Ramakrishna and D Lakshminarayanaswamy were among those who participated in the event.
Earlier, the Vice-President inaugurated the KMCH Institute of Neuro Sciences, a new OPD block and KMCH Medical College Post Graduate Institute. The event was presided over by Dr Nalla G Palaniswami, chairman and managing director of KMCH, in the presence of KMCH vice-president Dr Thavamani D Palaniswami, and KMCH executive director Dr Arun Palaniswami.
