Minister urges public to promote Araku Coffee

Minorities Welfare Minister N. Md. Farooq said that the State government was widely promoting Araku Coffee and urged the public to promote the brand.

Inaugurating the Araku Coffee stall at the PGRS Hall in the District Collectorate along with Collector Rajakumari Ganiya and Joint Collector Kollabattula Karthik on Wednesday, the Minister said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu prioritised the promotion of Araku Coffee and had asked to set up stalls at all the District Collectorates as part of it. “Araku Coffee is produced in our State and it got international recognition. Every person should relish the taste of the coffee and promote it,” the Minister said.

To encourage DWCRA women, loan has been sanctioned to the SHG women to set up stalls in the Collectorate, he said and asked the stall managers to ensure taste and quality for the consumers.

Meanwhile, Ms. Rajakumari Ganiya said that the cost of Araku Coffee stall was ₹6 lakh and the government had given 35 per cent subsidy and remaining as bank loan to set up the stall.
