Mohak Matkar, celebrated for her role as Saru, is set to captivate audiences this Ganesh Chaturthi as she embodies Ganpati Bappa in a unique on-screen transformation. This occurs after Saru is wrongly blamed for an incident involving Anika, prompting her to adopt the deity's avatar to reveal the truth.
Actor Mohak Matkar, who is best known as Saru from the popular serial Saru, is ready to bring devotion and drama together on screen this Ganesh Chaturthi. In the upcoming track, the festival celebrations in the Bajaj household takes a unique turn as Saru transforms into Ganpati Bappa.
This happens after Anika (played by Anushka Merchande) destroys the mooshak raja, and the blame unfairly falls on Saru.
To clear the misunderstanding and to bring out the truth, Saru takes on Ganpati Bappa’s avatar.The preparations for this transformation were not easy. Mohak worked in detail with the costume team to get the look right. Every part of the Ganpati attire, from the traditional crown to the bright dhoti and jewellery was carefully put together.
Mohak also rehearsed the hand gestures, body language, and expressions many times to make sure the portrayal looked authentic. Her aim was to make the performance not only look visually appealing but also heartfelt and powerful.Mohak Matkar talking about the experience shared, “Stepping into Ganpati Bappa’s avatar was a fascinating experience. Seeing the complete look for the first time, I felt a deep connection to the character.
The preparation allowed me to focus on every detail and truly embody the essence of Ganpati Bappa. It was both a creative and immersive experience. Ganesh Chaturthi is really special to me, and I always bring Ganpati home to celebrate with my family.
That personal connection made this sequence even more meaningful. Rehearsing the pivotal scene with Anushka was definitely rewarding, as we captured the perfect balance of authority and warmth for the sequence.
