Superstar Mohanlal is teaming up with director Tharun Moorthy for a new film following the massive success of 'Thudarum.' Producer M. Ranjith confirmed the reunion, hinting at an exciting collaboration. Moorthy will first complete 'Torpedo' and 'Operation Cambodia' before embarking on this highly anticipated project with Mohanlal.
Mohanlal and director Tharun Moorthy are set to reunite for a new film after this year's super hit film 'Thudarum.' This information was officially confirmed by producer M. Ranjith at the 'Thudarum' success meet.
While presenting a special award to Tharun Moorthy, Renjith immediately said, “A new film with Mohanlal is the best award.
”The latest report from Cinema Express suggests that Tharun Moorthy will join hands with Mohanlal in this new film only after completing projects like 'Torpedo' and 'Operation Cambodia,' which are to be produced in a short period of time.
‘Thudarum’ becomes a blockbuster with Mohanlal’s stellar performance
'Thudarum,' which was released in April, was initially advertised as a family-friendly story, but in reality it turned out to be an emotional revenge story. Mohanlal's unique performance in the film impressed fans and critics alike. Prakash Varma's portrayal of the antagonist is also commendable. Binu Pappu, Shobana, Farhan Faasil, Thomas Mathew, and Bharathiraja play supporting roles.
'Thudarum' became a huge hit, grossing ₹200 crore worldwide and ₹100 crore in Kerala alone.
Tharun Moorthy announces upcoming projects
After the success of 'Thudarum,' Tharun Moorthy has announced a new project called Torpedo, which stars Binu Babu, Nazlen, Arjun Das, and Ganapathy in the lead roles. This is also Binu Pappu's writing debut. Meanwhile, 'Operation Cambodia' is set to be the second installment of his directorial debut, 'Operation Java.' It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, and the supporting cast includes Balu Varghese, Lukman Avaran, Binu Pappu, Alexander Prasanth, and Irshad Ali.
Mohanlal is busy with ‘Drishyam 3’ and ‘Vrusshabha.’
Mohanlal is currently busy shooting for Jeethu Joseph's 'Drishyam 3.' His next release, the multilingual classic 'Vrusshabha,' is set to hit the theaters on November 6th. Mohanlal's captivating performance, the story, and the director's perspective in this new collaboration film directed by Tharun Moorthy are expected to give the fans an unexpected experience.
