Mother Gets 10-Year-Old Son Killed By Lover After He Finds Out About Her Affair

A woman conspired with her lover to kill her 10-year-old son in Varanasi after he saw them in a compromising position.

A woman allegedly conspired to get her 10-year-old son killed after he saw her in a compromising position with a man in their house in Varanasi.

According to news agency PTI, the woman got the boy killed with the help of her lover and his aide. Subsequently, the trio was arrested. The accused mother has been identified as Sona Sharma, a resident of the Ramnagar police station area. Sharma lost lost her husband in an accident two years ago and had been living with her son Suraj and five-year-old daughter.

In the meantime, Sharma came close to Faizan and entered into a romantic relationship with him. Faizan would frequently visit her home.

PTI report suggests that on Sunday, Suraj saw his mother and Faizan in a compromising position in their bedroom.

Fearing that the minor would disclose their relationship, the accused decided to kill him, PTI reported, citing Additional DCP T Sarvanan.

In order to trap Suraj, Faizan on Monday evening lured him into the bushes in the Bawan Bigha grounds and strangled him to death with the help of his friend, Rashid. Thereafter, they hid the body.

In an attempt to pass of the crime as abduction, the accused mother filed a missing report at Ramnagar police station late on Monday night, claiming that her child was abducted, police said.

After police launched an investigation and recovered Suraj’s body from the bushes in Bawan Bigha on Tuesday night. As police started questioning people related to Suraj, Sharma’s behaviour raised suspicion.

During subsequent probe, Sharma repeatedly named Faizan, who was immediately taken into custody, the officer said.

Earlier on Tuesday night, police took Faizan to the crime scene, where he tried to snatch a police officer’s gun to fire at the team and escape. In retaliation police shot him in the right leg.

Further investigation into the case was underway.
