MoUs worth ₹2.94 lakh crore signed in renewable energy sector in Andhra Pradesh

The Government of Andhra Pradesh signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for a total investment of ₹2.94 lakh crore in the renewable energy sector, on the eve of the commencement of the two-day CII Partnership Summit here on November 14.

Chief Secretary and Special Chief Secretary (Energy) K. Vijayanand said in a press release on November 13 that the projects, which included pumped hydro storage, green hydrogen, wind, solar, biofuels, and energy storage, were expected to generate over 69,800 employment opportunities in various districts.

The prominent companies that entered new MoUs and project expansions included Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd., Chinta Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., ABC Cleantech (Evren) & Axis Energy Ventures, ReNew Group, Four Square Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., Indosol Solar Pvt. Ltd., and Hero Future Energies Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Vijayanand said the exchanges presided over by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reflected Andhra Pradesh’s emergence as a national leader in green energy transition and investment facilitation, reaffirming the State’s commitment to accelerating clean energy development through strategic partnerships and fast-track project implementation.

The MoUs were exchanged between New & Renewable Development Corporation of AP, Energy Department, and investors in the presence of Mr. Naidu, Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar and others.
