Namrata Shirodkar, wife of Mahesh Babu, is grieving the loss of her cherished pet dog, Nobu. She fondly remembered Nobu as their "first little big baby" and an integral family member. Her children, Gautam and Sitara, also shared heartfelt tributes. This loss follows the family's earlier mourning of their pet Pluto in 2013.
Wife of Tollywood star Mahesh Babu and former actress Namrata Shirodkar is mourning the loss of her beloved pet dog, Nobu. She recently shared the news on her social media handle, where she remembered Nobu as her first “little big baby” and an irreplaceable part of her family.
A video tribute on social media
With sombre music, she shared a video on her Instagram handle, which features multiple pictures where Nobu is seen sitting with the family. One picture shows her kids, Gautam Ghattamaneni and Sitara Ghattamaneni, petting him. Some pictures also show her small Sitara hugging Nobu and sitting with him.
Sharing the video, she wrote, “We will miss you nobu. you will always be in our prayers u were our first little big baby and will always be … sending love and blessings to u.”

Namrata’s son Gautam also paid tribute to Nobu. He shared a series of photos with their pet dog and wrote, “Love you Nobu.”
Back in 2013, the family had also mourned the loss of their pet dog Pluto. Namrata had then shared an emotional post, remembering Pluto and the beautiful moments spent together. She had written that Pluto would live in their hearts forever. Her daughter Sitara and actor Mahesh Babu had also shared messages and photos, showing how close the family was to their pets.
Mahesh Babu’s work front
On the work front, Mahesh Babu was last seen in ‘Guntur Kaaram’ and is now working on one of the biggest projects of his career with ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The film is titled, ‘Varanasi’ and stars Global icon Priyanka Chopra as the leading lady and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in the leading role.The film is currently in the production phase and it is slated to hit the big screens in 2027.
