Navy hosts over 200 differently abled kids onboard INS Shardul

The Southern Naval Command (SNC) on Saturday (November 8, 2025) hosted over 200 differently abled schoolchildren as part of its public outreach efforts ahead of the annual Navy Day which falls on December 4.

The children from various schools in Ernakulam, accompanied by teachers, were welcomed onboard INS Shardul, a landing ship tank based at the SNC here, and a museum set up at the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology (NIAT).

The children were offered a guided tour of the ship during which the vessel’s role and capabilities were explained. Small arms and interactive exhibits from various Naval Training Schools were displayed at NIAT.
