NEET UG 2026: NTA issues document advisory ahead of registrations; check official notice here

NEET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important public notice for candidates planning to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026.

The advisory asks students to update and verify their Aadhaar and other important documents before filling out the online application form.The notice is issued ahead of the upcoming NEET UG 2026 registration process.

Aadhaar Card must be updated and accurate

NTA has advised all candidates appearing for NEET UG 2026 to ensure that their Aadhaar Card is fully updated and error-free. The details on the Aadhaar Card must exactly match the information that will be entered in the NEET application form.Candidates should carefully check and update the following details, if required: Name, Date of birth, Gender, Photograph, Address, Biometric details, wherever applicable.Students can update their Aadhaar details by visiting the official Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website at uidai.gov.in or by visiting an Aadhaar enrolment or update centre.NTA has said that keeping Aadhaar details correct will help avoid problems during registration, verification, or later stages of the admission process.

UDD Card advisory for candidates with disabilities

Candidates with disabilities are advised not to use a Unique Disability ID (UDD) Card unless a valid, updated and renewed card is available. Using an expired or incorrect UDD Card may lead to issues during verification.Read the official notice here.

Category Certificate must be valid

Candidates applying under reserved categories must ensure that their category certificate is valid and issued as per guidelines. This includes certificates for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and other applicable categories.Students are advised to regularly visit the official NTA websites nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in for the latest updates, instructions, and notices related to NEET UG 2026.
