Neil Robertson shared a video on social media showcasing himself using oxygen while in Tibet, adjusting to high altitude. Days after he shared this video, he withdrew from competing in the Scottish Open Tournament due to injury and the effect of altitude.

He has been able to use this opportunity to inform fans of the struggles he is facing off the table during such a difficult time in his life.

Neil Robertson withdrew from competing due to injury, about four hours before the start of the Scottish Open. He later disclosed that he withdrew from the tournament due to being injured from a strain in his hip bone. As a result, he needed to rest from the competition instead of taking part in one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year.Neil Robertson was able to generate attention for his video because it was a snapshot of him in his hotel room connected to an oxygen cylinder. He explained in this video that the high altitude in Tibet has made daily activities challenging for him, so he is using the extra oxygen to assist him in getting acclimated to this type of environment.

Neil Robertson missed playing in the official professional event called the "Scottish Open," but he is still expected to participate in an exhibition match (an exhibition match means a match that does not count towards any regular season totals) scheduled for Tibet.
