Nellimarla MLA urges improving road connectivity to Bhogapuram airport

Jana Sena Party MLA of Nellimarla Assembly constituency, Lokam Madhavi on Monday urged the government to improve road connectivity on all routes leading to Bhogapuram international airport since they would ensure hassle free journey for passengers as well as act as growth engines in Vizianagaram and neighbouring districts.

She hailed the government for successfully completing commercial validation of the first flight at the airport which is in her constituency.

Speaking to The Hindu, she said that the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority should take up new road projects on a war footing since the airport would be ready by June, 2026.

Ms. Madhavi said that her company Miracle Software Systems (India) Private Limited is planning to establish an Artificial Intelligence City in near future, which would create jobs for thousands of youth in the region. She also felt that many local people would gain employment with the construction of the cold storage and cargo processing units which would have cargo handling facility at the airport.
