Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Vice-Chancellor (V-C) P. Chandra Sekhar announced in a press conference that the 27th and 28th convocations would be organized at Thummalapalli Vari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram here on September 9.
CEO and Chief Cardiac Surgeon of the National Heart Institute, New Delhi O.P. Yadava, has been chosen for the award of the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Sciences (Honoris Causa), he announced.
Andhra Pradesh Governor and NTRUHS Chancellor S. Abdul Nazeer would preside over the event and deliver the convocation address. The V-C said that 72 medals (55 gold and 17 silver) and 18 cash prizes would be given to 53 meritorious students of the year 2021 (27th Convocation).
Eightyfour medals (60 gold and 24 silver) and 20 cash prizes would be presented to 67 meritorious students of the year 2022 (28th Convocation).
Degree certificates would be given away to all the students declared in the examinations for the year 2022 and 2023 for the following courses: in person — Ph.D - five candidates and super-specialty - one candidate, and in absentia — undergraduate courses - four candidates and PG course - one candidate.
NTRUHS Registrar V. Radhika Reddy and other officials were present.
