'Parasakthi' success meet: Sivakarthikeyan reveals Rajinikanth’s praise and Kamal Haasan’s extended appreciation

The 'Parasakthi' director Sudha Kongara and actor Sivakarthikeyan came together for a success party in Chennai after the movie's theatrical release on January 9. The film that is inspired by the protests against Hindi imposition has sparked a controversy after its release and has received mixed reviews.

The film has a star-studded cast that includes Atharvaa, Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, Guru Somasundaram, and Chetan. ‘Parasakthi’ is also the 100th film of G.V Prakash Kumar.

Rajinikanth lauds Parasakthi as a bold film

Speaking at the success meet, Sivakarthikeyan shed light on his experience playing Sezhiyan in the film, as well as some quirky moments of the movie’s release. What struck us most was the fact that he received a personal call from Superstar Rajinikanth after he watched the movie.

“Rajinikanth sir saw the film yesterday and called me. He said it was such a brave film and was saying ‘super, super’ about part two,” the actor revealed.

He also said that after Rajinikanth had started following his career since ‘Don’ and had come to his movies, it was very special since he has been a fan of the Superstar for a long time.

Kamal Haasan’s detailed feedback

Sivakarthikeyan also mentioned that Kamal Haasan had watched “Parasakthi” even before its release and lavished praise on the film.

Comparing the two, Sivakarthikeyan noted that while Kamal Haasan spoke for a couple of minutes after watching “Amaran,” he spoke for over five minutes while praising “Parasakthi,” where he specifically spoke about the film. Sivakarthikeyan added the longevity of the praises showered upon him meant a lot and was overwhelming proof of the film’s motive and execution.

The support it received from two cinema legends of the Tamil film industry, he added, was encouraging.

Apart from this, Sivakarthikeyan also stated that, senior actress Radhika Sarathkumar also called him and congratulated after watching the film.
