Paresh Rawal left everyone shocked as he announced his sudden exit from the iconic 'Hera Pheri' franchise. The makers are working on the third installment of the movie and Rawal had some differences with the team.
He then announced that he's no longer a part of the project. Director Priyadarshan revealed that neither him, nor Akshay Kumar or Suniel Shetty were informed about it. Later, Akshay's production house took legal action against Paresh Rawal. All's well now as their differences are sorted and Paresh is back to the film. In a recent interview, he has confirmed that the film will go on floors next year. He said in an interview with News18 Showsha, "It’s a work in progress.
We’ll start shooting for the film in February-March next year." The actor revealed that he had genuine reasons to leave the film earlier and he also returned his signing amount with interest. But all's well now. When asked if this whole incident affected his equation with director Priyadarshan who he has collaborated with, on several projects. The actor said, "A lot has happened but that hasn’t soured my relationship with Priyadarshan.
Aise rishta kharab nahi hota hai. In fact, what has happened is that it has further solidified our equation. Through all of this, we now know each in a sharper and better way. Ghaav bhar gaya hai. Our relationship is very transparent." Rawal's character in Hera Pheri, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte is iconic and when he had announced his exit, fans were disappointed as they felt, nobody can get into his shoes. When asked if they have ever thought of a spin-off for his character Baburao, the actor said, "We (Priyadarshan and I) haven’t discussed a spin-off on Baburao. A film is a collaborative effort. Ek film sabki wajah se banti hai. I don’t think Baburao can exist on his own.
You’ll need Shyam and Raju too."
