Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday invited students, parents, and teachers to participate in the upcoming edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, his annual interaction aimed at helping students cope with exam-related stress.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said he was looking forward to interacting with participants on various aspects of examinations, particularly ways to remain calm, confident and stress-free.

“The Class X and XII Board Exams are approaching, and so is this year’s #ParikshaPeCharcha! Looking forward to interacting with students, parents and teachers on different aspects of exams, most notably ways to overcome exam stress, remaining calm, confident and appearing for exams with a smile," he said.

He also encouraged students, whom he referred to as “Exam Warriors," to share their questions as well as personal experiences that could motivate others.

“I wish to hear from the #ExamWarriors be it their questions or their experiences which can motivate others," PM Modi added.

Meanwhile, over three crore registrations have already been received for the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, according to officials from the Ministry of Education (MoE).

Registration for the event opened on December 1 and will remain open until January 11, 2026. Participation is being facilitated through an online multiple-choice question-based competition hosted on the MyGov portal. Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, are eligible to participate.

Pariksha Pe Charcha, launched in 2018, is a flagship initiative that allows students to directly engage with the Prime Minister. The programme focuses on addressing issues such as exam pressure, mental health concerns, academic stress and post-result anxiety.

The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha was telecast on February 10 last year. The interaction was held in an innovative new format at Sunder Nursery in the national capital. It brought together 36 students from across states and Union Territories, representing government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sainik schools, Eklavya Model Residential schools and CBSE schools.

The edition also featured seven separate episodes covering topics such as sports, discipline, mental health, nutrition, technology, finance, creativity and positivity, offering inspiring insights from renowned personalities.

In 2025, the Pariksha Pe Charcha set a Guinness World Record, drawing participation of students from more than 245 countries, teachers from 153 countries and parents from 149 countries.

Over the years, the programme has seen a sharp rise in participation. While the first edition in 2018 saw around 22,000 participants, registrations grew to 3.56 crore by the eighth edition. Along with this, 1.55 crore people took part in the nationwide Jan Andolan activities related to Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, bringing the total participation to nearly five crore.
