NEW DELHI: A Patna-bound SpiceJet flight returned to Delhi shortly after take-off on Thursday morning following a technical issue.As per news agency PTI, the airline said flight SG 497, operated with a Boeing 737 aircraft, landed safely in Delhi and all passengers were deplaned without incident.SpiceJet did not disclose the number of passengers on board.
“On October 23, 2025, SpiceJet flight SG 497 operating from Delhi to Patna returned to Delhi after take-off due to a technical issue. An alternate aircraft was arranged to accommodate the passengers, which is now en route to Patna,” the airline said.The incident comes a day after a Newark-bound Air India flight, operated with a Boeing 777 aircraft, also returned mid-air due to a technical problem.The Air India flight had taken off from Mumbai around 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday and was airborne for more than three hours before returning, according to flight-tracking website Flightradar24.(With agency inputs)
