MP for Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar said a pedestrian bridge, which is under construction near K.R. Mill area on the Mysuru-Bengaluru national highway in the outskirts of the city, is expected to be completed shortly.
After inspecting the construction site on Sunday, Mr. Yaduveer said that crossing the busy highway had become increasingly unsafe for pedestrians, prompting immediate action by the authorities.
The bridge construction is progressing at a brisk pace, and officials have been instructed to complete it at the earliest, he said.
Mr. Yaduveer emphasised that all development initiatives would be implemented with public convenience in mind. Alongside infrastructure development, priority will be given to projects that directly benefit the public, he added.
The new bridge is expected to enhance pedestrian safety and ease traffic movement in the area.
