Phase-III Porvorim road closure from March 20

Panaji: As part of Phase-III of the road closure plan in Porvorim for construction of the elevated highway corridor, starting from March 20 up to May 19, the traffic will be diverted from near Hyundai Showroom to near Wellness.

And closure of road will be done from near Dr Anil D’Silva clinic to near Goa Scan Centre, Porvorim.“Heavy vehicles carrying essential commodities will not be able to travel on the road from Mapusa due to the steep ascent. Hence, one lane on the existing carriageway will be kept open for all vehicular traffic proceeding from Mapusa to Panaji,” the district magistrate, North Goa, said.In the earlier phase, up to March 19, the road stretches from Damian de Goa to Hyundai showroom and from Holy Family Church to O’Coqueiro Junction, are closed to facilitate the Porvorim elevated highway work.
