Himachal Pradesh Leader of the Opposition, Jairam Thakur, had two volunteer groups from Seraj prepare the Pullas and deliver them to the Prime Minister's Office. However, due to a minor issue, he did not send the bill initially. Upon receiving the Pullas, PM Modi insisted and asked Jairam Thakur to send the bill immediately

Jairam, reluctant to take the money from the PM, wanted to pay himself but was compelled to send the bill on Modi's instructions. Upon receiving the bill, the Prime Minister deposited Rs 12,000 each from his bank account into the accounts of the two volunteer groups that prepared the Pullas. (Local18)

Pullas made from hemp fibres are considered sacred and can be worn within the temple premises. PM Modi, a devout devotee of Lord Shiva, desires the priests of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to wear these sacred Pullas during the winter season. (Local18)

Pullas are predominantly used in sacred places like temple premises or kitchens, where shoes and slippers are strictly prohibited. They are worn exclusively in sacred places
