Power staff DA fixed at 17.651%

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy and Finance Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has approved the proposal to fix Dearness Allowance (DA) at 17.651% for the employees of power utilities in the Energy department.

It will benefit 71,387 employees, artisans and pensioners of the Telangana Power Generation Corporation, Transmission Corporation, Southern Power Distribution Company and Northern Power Distribution Company. The additional monthly financial burden on the power utilities following the enhancement of DA will be ₹9.39 crore a month.

According to the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, Dearness Allowance (DA)/Dearness Relief (DR) is reviewed and released every year in January and July based on the Consumer Price Index and the rise in market prices,. As part of the process, DA/DR has been fixed at 17.651% and it will be implemented with the retrospective effect from July 1, 2025.
