Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda are showing us a fresh take on married life. The couple, who got married on March 15 last year, recently opened up about their relationship with total honesty. They didn’t just focus on grand romantic gestures.
Instead, they kept it real, talking about friendship, comfort, and the choice to love each other every single day. Their conversation gives a relatable look at how modern marriages really work, thriving on understanding and shared space.
Marriage feels like friendship first
Appearing on Karan Johar’s Maanvavar Shaadi Show, Pulkit described marriage as a natural extension of their bond. “It is beautiful. More than married life, I think we are best friends and best roommates.
I think that’s what keeps the relationship alive,” he shared. According to him, the magic lies in their everyday life. It is about simple companionship and sharing daily routines. They feel completely at ease with each other.
For them, marriage isn’t just a label but more like a true partnership where they are on the same team.
Kriti Kharbanda on choosing love and commitment
Kriti Kharbanda echoed Pulkit’s thoughts while openly expressing her belief in love and marriage.
“I fully recommend marriage, 100 per cent. I am a big propagator of the belief that when you find love, you must do everything to keep it in your life,” she said. She sees love as a choice you make every day. It takes real effort, patience, and mutual respect to build a bond that lasts.
Why living together mattered to them
They also opened up about living together before tying the knot and explained why sharing a home early on was such an important part of their journey.
Pulkit said, “Because of that, both of us are big advocates of living together before deciding to get married. That’s the best thing to do. We were in a live-in relationship for two years.” Adding a personal touch, Kriti shared how the pandemic shaped their bond: “During Covid, we were together but not living in the same apartment.
Post Covid, we properly moved in together. We found a house that wasn’t his or mine, but ours, and then built that home together.”
