A 15-year-old boy in Rajasthan died by suicide allegedly after his father stopped him from playing mobile game.

The incident took place in Kurrenda village of Dholpur district on November 5 when the boy hanged himself to death.

According to preliminary information, the boy was addicted to a mobile game called 'Free Fire' due to which his father got angry. On the day of the incident, his father, Rajveer Baghel, snatched and seized his phone while he was playing the game.

Enraged, the boy went straight to his room. Meanwhile, other family members were having dinner. When they went to the boy's room after dinner, they found their son hanging. They took him down from the noose and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The boy was the third of five siblings and was studying in class 8.

Rajveer Baghel filed a written complaint with the police on Thursday following which a post-mortem was conducted.

"During the interrogation, the family members told that Vishnu was playing the Free Fire game on his mobile. When his father stopped him from playing the game, he got angry and hanged himself in a room of the house," Head Constable Kapil Sharma said.

The post-mortem of the body has been conducted and further action is underway.
