Ranchi: Taking a significant step towards making the registration process of death and birth certificates in Ranchi more robust, transparent and time-bound, DC Manjunath Bhajantri on Friday inaugurated a day-long district-level training programme for officials at the collectorate building.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhajantri stressed on timely and accurate registration of birth and death. He also said that they are eyeing for 100% target achievement in birth-death registration. “It not only protects the fundamental rights of individuals but also helps in Aadhaar card creation, educational certificates, enrolment in voter lists, property transfer and availing benefits of various govt schemes," he said, adding that all the concerned officials and staff should ensure that registration is completed within the prescribed time limit (within 21 days of birth and within 21 days of death). The DC the programme is aimed for capacity building of registrars working in all blocks, circles and municipal corporation areas of the district.
