Rashee Rice, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 4 of the 2024 season, has been the subject of much speculation regarding his recovery and return. But according to Patrick Mahomes, the rising star is already showing signs that he’s ready to return to peak form.

“He looks like Rashee,” Mahomes stated. “He's running routes.

He's catching the football. I don't know when we get back into the actual OTAs, how much he'll be able to do, but he's been able to do everything here, as far as running routes and everything like that.”This update comes at a crucial time for Kansas City, as the team begins Organized Team Activities (OTAs) with a revamped wide receiver unit that now includes Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown. Rice’s return could significantly boost the Chiefs' offense in their pursuit of a third consecutive Super Bowl title.

Although Rice missed the initial OTA sessions (May 27–29), head coach Andy Reid clarified that his absence was due to illness and not related to his knee injury. Reid also highlighted Rice’s strong performance during Phase 2 of the offseason program.Before his injury, Rice was on a breakout path, registering 24 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns in just four games.
