Relative booked for sexually assaulting minor girl in Shamshabad

A man was booked by Shamshabad police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl at her house on October 18.

Police said the accused, a resident of Maddur village in Shabad, is a distant relative of the victim. The incident occurred when the victim’s mother, a daily wage labourer, had gone for work, leaving her daughter and son at home.

The girl later called a relative and told what had happened. When her mother returned, the incident was narrated to her, following which she approached the Shamshabad police.
