The Southwest Airlines has decided to establish a global innovation centre in Hyderabad.
The announcement was made by a delegation of Southwest Airlines headed by its Chief Information Officer Lauren Woods and Chief Technology Officer Tom Merritt which called on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday. The Chief Minister expressed delight over the announcement of the US major.
He welcomed the senior leadership for the airlines for having chosen Hyderabad for their global innovation centre to support evolution of their business strategy. Explaining the growth story of Hyderabad, Mr. Revanth Reddy briefed the delegation about the government’s ambitious vision for developing Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion economy by 2047 as part of the Telangana Rising 2047.
