Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son, Anant Ambani, has reportedly gifted Argentine superstar Lionel Messi a Richard Mille RM 003 V2 ‘Asia Edition’, which costs $1.1 million, on his visit to Vantara, an animal protection organisation run by Anant in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
During his visit, Messi was seen honouring traditional Indian customs and seeking blessings in line with Sanatana Dharma, which stresses reverence for nature and respect for all living beings.
Pictures and videos of Messi interacting with caretakers and observing wildlife went viral. Several users on X, led by popular account AlbicelesteTalk, which tracks the Argentine national team and Messi, claimed that he was gifted an ultra-rare Richard Mille RM 003 V2 ‘Asia Edition’ by Anant.

As per the post, the watch, one of Richard Mille’s early models, is valued at around Rs 9.97 crore, or USD 1 million, in the current market.
While there has been no official confirmation of the claim, the speculation gathered momentum because of Anant’s well-known affinity for luxury watches. During his wedding to Radhika Merchant in July 2024, he gifted Audemars Piguet timepieces worth around Rs 2 crore each to multiple high-profile guests, according to reports.
Audemars Piguet is a Swiss luxury watch company.
Meanwhile, Messi said that he believes football has a ‘bright future’ in India and thanked fans for the ‘generous hospitality’ he received during his whirlwind three-day tour, which saw thousands jostling for a glimpse of the Argentine maestro across four cities.
Messi, after extending his stay by a day to visit the Anant-founded Vantara wildlife rescue, rehab and conservation centre in Jamnagar, left for his base in Miami on Wednesday.
