Actor and comedian Robo Shankar passed away at the age of 46. The actor, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai for a complex abdominal condition, breathed his last.
Dhanush arrives at residence
The actor's body has been kept at his residence for fans, friends and colleagues from the film industry to pay their last respects.
As per a report by IANS, the Tamil star arrived at the late actor's residence.
The report mentioned that Dhanush was seen consoling his family members, who were in shock and grieving their loss.
Udhayanidhi Stalin shares his tribute
Multiple celebrities and politicians have been sharing their respects. Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin was also present at the late actor's residence to pay his last tributes. On his social media handle, he wrote, "I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of actor Robo Shankar.".
He also extended his condolences not only to the actor's family but also to his friends, colleagues, and countless fans.

Tamil veteran Kamal Haasan on social media also wrote, "Robo Shankar Robo is just a pseudonym. In my dictionary, you are a human. Therefore, my younger brother. So, will you just leave me and go? You left, your job is done. My job remains unfinished. You leave tomorrow for us. Therefore, tomorrow is ours."
His funeral rites will be taking place on this day, September 19, in the afternoon.Robo Shankar is survived by his wife Priyanka and daughter Indraja.Robo Shankar has shared the screen with multiple stars in his career in the Tamil film industry.
