NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals head into the IPL auction with a purse of Rs 16.05 crore and nine slots to fill, including one overseas position, following a reshuffle that has raised eyebrows across the league.

The Royals have released several prominent names, most notably former captain Sanju Samson, along with Nitish Rana, Akash Madhwal, Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga, signalling a significant shift in team strategy ahead of the new season.Despite the exits, Rajasthan have retained a strong and varied core. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag remain central to the batting unit, supported by Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel and young prospect Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

The inclusion of experienced all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran adds balance and leadership, while Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger provide firepower in the pace department. Sandeep Sharma and Tushar Deshpande further strengthen the bowling attack.
