AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday strongly condemned Pakistan army chief General Asim Munir’s nuclear threat, terming his words “condemnable."

Owaisi slammed Munir for making such remarks from the United States, India’s strategic partner, and said the general was speaking like a ‘sadakchaap aadmi’ (a street-smart common man).

He stressed that India must be vigilant against the ongoing threats from the Pakistani military and its deep state, urging the government to increase the defence budget to ensure the country remains well-prepared.

“Pakistan army chief’s words and his threats are condemnable. What’s unfortunate is that this is happening from the US, which is India’s strategic partner," Owaisi said.

“He is speaking like a ‘sadakchaap aadmi’, “he added.

“We also need to understand that with the constant threat we will have from the Pakistani army and their deep state, we will have to increase our defence budget so that we can stay prepared," Owaisi added.
