The 1st Maharashtra State Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament concluded on August 21

The 1st Maharashtra State Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament, jointly organised by the Tenpin Bowling Federation of India (TBFI) and the Maharashtra State Tenpin Bowling Association (MTBA), concluded on 21st August at Shots Bowling Centre, Andheri.

The championship featured 30 bowlers, marking a milestone for Maharashtra’s bowling journey. The format included two qualifying rounds with a Top 18 cut for Round 2, followed by Knockout semifinals and a Championship Final.

In the qualifying stages, Niket Shah dominated with a total pinfall of 2171 (avg. 180.92), securing the top spot. Close on his heels were Neil Bahal (2162, avg. 180.17) and Sanket Raut (2133, avg. 177.75), making for a tightly contested leaderboard.

The Knockout Rounds brought thrilling finishes. In the semifinals, Devendra S edged past Niket Shah (366–341), while Sanket Raut overcame Neil Bahal (329–311) to set up a much-anticipated final.

The Finals saw Sanket Raut rise to the occasion, scoring 216 and 193 (409) to defeat Devendra S (177 and 205, total 382), and claim the title of Maharashtra’s first State Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament for the year 2025.

Niket Shah secured third place, followed by Neil Bahal.

Speaking on his achievement, Neil Bahal said, “It was a privilege to be part of Maharashtra’s first-ever state bowling championship. The level of competition was intense, and finishing on the podium alongside some of the state’s finest players is truly motivating. I am grateful to the organisers for creating this platform and look forward to contributing further to the growth of the sport."

Adding prestige to the event, former India International Imran Salim Khan presented the awards to the winners.
