All You Need To Know About India AI Impact Summit 2026
The India AI Impact Summit will take place from February 19 to 20, with the inaugural session scheduled at Bharat Mandapam on February 19. The event is expected to bring together global leaders, policymakers, industry executives, innovators and artificial intelligence experts, positioning New Delhi as a key venue for international AI dialogue.
Announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the France AI Action Summit, the AI Impact Summit 2026 will be the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South. It builds on earlier international efforts such as the UK AI Safety Summit, the AI Seoul Summit, the France AI Action Summit and the Global AI Summit on Africa, with a stated aim of moving beyond policy declarations to tangible outcomes and cooperative frameworks.
The summit is envisioned as a platform to promote inclusive, people-centric artificial intelligence while addressing the challenges posed by rapid AI adoption, including job displacement, bias, and rising energy demands. Organisers have said the focus will be on delivering measurable impact that balances innovation with responsibility.
The summit will be anchored around three guiding pillars, referred to as “Sutras." The People Sutra emphasizes human-centred AI that respects diversity, dignity and inclusion. The Planet Sutra focuses on responsible innovation aligned with sustainability and climate resilience. The Progress Sutra highlights AI’s role in driving inclusive growth and accelerating development across sectors such as health, education, governance and agriculture, particularly in emerging economies.
By amplifying the perspectives of the Global South, the summit aims to ensure that the benefits of AI are more equitably shared worldwide.
