Seven held in Hazaribag for illegally transporting coal

Hazaribag: Eight tractors were seized and seven drivers were arrested in Mothra Ghati in Barkagaon block of Hazaribag district on Thursday in connection with illegal coal mining. A joint operation by the Hazaribag West forest division DFO and Barkagaon police, acting on information from the forest department, also recovered more than 27 tonne of illegally mined coal stocked in Jorakat forest under Barkagaon police station.
