The Shivamogga Zone of the Karnataka State Cricket Association will be hosting the Ranji Trophy match between Karnataka and Goa from October 25 to 28.
The match will be played at the KSCA Stadium in Navule. A Ranji Trophy match is being held in Shivamogga after a gap of five years. The last Rajni Trophy match, between Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, was held in January 2020.
MLC and former convener of Shivamogga Zone, D.S. Arun, in a press conference here on Thursday, said that IPL players, including Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Shreyas Gopal, representing Karnataka, and Arjun Tendulkar, part of Goa team, would be in Shivamogga.
He said that the KSCA has made all arrangements for the match in the stadium. “Going by the weather forecast, we are hoping that there will not be rain during daytime. We are prepared to handle any situation,” he said.
H.S. Sadanand, zonal convener, appealed to cricket lovers and students to witness the match. “We wish a large audience to watch the play. The entry is free,” he said.
