Shoaib Ibrahim's Sister Saba Names Son Haider, Wants Him To Follow 'Noble Footsteps'

Shoaib Ibrahim’s sister Saba Ibrahim welcomed her son earlier this month. It has been a tough time for the family with Dipika Kakar’s liver cancer diagnosis and the surgery that followed. But Saba’s happy news has indeed delighted everyone.

Saba and Khalid (Sunny) have kept the celebrations simple; they also stated that they would celebrate once Dipika returns from surgery.

In their latest vlog, the duo shared that they had decided on a few names before choosing to name him Haider. Sunny said, “We printed these cute onesies as it is our baby boy’s first Eid. We missed bhai and bhabhi today but I am sure that we will have many other occasions to celebrate together."

Saba added, “We had prayed for a child and during that time in Maudaha, Sunny had decided that we would name our child behind our family. Though we had decided on a name for the baby girl as you know we had wished for a daughter. Our son is also a blessing, so we had limited names from which we chose Haider for him."

Saba shared, “The meaning and its traits are as divine as the name and we want that our son follows the noble footsteps like his name. Sunny was sure that he wanted to name our son Haider only. Bohot accha laga tha naam mujhe." The couple then invited people to bless their son and participate in their celebration. Saba then asked all of her cousins about the name, and they all agreed that Haider was ideal for the young child.

A few days ago, Saba shared about the newborn’s Aqeeqah ceremony, a customary ritual performed on the seventh day after birth. Shoaib, the newborn’s mamu, paid a visit to Saba’s home to bless the baby but only stayed briefly due to Dipika’s health. In the video, Saba also discussed her emotional reaction to Dipika’s surgery. She claimed that the Aqeeqah ceremony took place before Dipika was hospitalised.
