Super Junior Kyuhyun’s agency recently issued an official statement regarding defamatory and derogatory posts against the artist. They shared that such posts will not be entertained and that they will be taking legal action against all those who continue to share malicious content against the idol.
Kyuhyun faces backlash amidst variety show appearance
Kyuhyun from Super Junior recently faced a lot of backlash after appearing on the popular online variety show ‘The Devil’s Plan: Death Room’. He starred on the show alongside actress Yoon So Hee and influencer Jung Hyun Gyu. After all the episodes of the show were dropped online, the trio were heavily criticised for their ‘gameplay’ during the variety show.
Kyuhyun’s agency issues statement against malicious comments
Kyuhyun’s management agency took swift action against the malicious comments and issued an official statement about how they will be proceeding with legal methods.
They issued in their statement, according to Soompi, that “Recently, we have confirmed numerous acts targeting our artist Kyuhyun that go beyond freedom of expression and infringe upon his character. Malicious posts—including incitement to disrupt activities, spreading false information, abusive language and slander, and sexual harassment—are causing concern not only for the artist but also for the mental well-being of fans.
”They continued by saying that “Accordingly, we are preparing strong legal action based on the evidence we have collected through reports and monitoring. Furthermore, we will continue to take legal measures against any future defamation or similar acts targeting our artists.”Showing dedication towards their artists, the agency vowed that they will do everything possible to keep their artists protected against such malicious and fake comments.
