Swarna Radhotsavam was held for the processional deities of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy at Srisailam on Tuesday (September 16) in a grand manner.

The processional deities of the Srisailam temple will be taken out for a ride in the temple town on the Golden Chariot after performing Mahanyasa Purvaka Ekadasa Rudrabhisekham, Annabhisekham and other special pujas to Lord Mallikarjuna swamy. The temple priests offered prayers to bestow the God’s blessings for bountiful of rains, good crops, and peace and prosperity in the country on the occasion.

The Radhotsavam started at 7.30 a.m. amid vedic chants and the Golden Chariot was taken out from Gangadhara Mandapam to Nandi Mandapam and from back to Gangadhara Mandapam. As part of preserving traditional arts, troupes performed Kolatam, folk dances and bhajans during the procession.
