Ranchi : A total of 89 teachers who have been shortlisted for joining the chief minister’s schools of excellence (CM-SOEs) are currently undergoing counselling sessions.According to officials of the state education department, the counselling sessions are being conducted to match teachers with appropriate requirements for SOEs based on subject expertise, professional experience, and specific needs of individual CM-SOE institutions.State project director of Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC), Shashi Ranjan, said, “The process is designed to ensure that each school of excellence receives trained and competent faculty to meet its academic goals.”As part of the counselling, teachers are being briefed on the pedagogical framework, technology-enabled learning systems, and modern classroom practices that define the CM-SOE model.
They are also being oriented on school leadership expectations, student learning outcomes, performance monitoring mechanisms, and the use of digital tools integrated into daily teaching.The online applications were invited between March 30 and October 31 this year, through the e-vidyavahini portal from teachers scoring 60% or above in the training need assessment. A total of 89 applications were approved and directed to participate in the counselling held on Friday.
Ranjan added, “The objective is to ensure that teachers joining the schools of excellence are fully aligned with the instructional model. These schools represent the highest standards of govt education, and the faculty must be equipped accordingly.”Officials informed that centralised counselling was organised at the JEPC office, where shortlisted teachers were provided posting options based on their merit rank, qualifications, and vacancies available in schools of excellence.
