Traffic diversion in Belagavi as work to start on railway underbridge

The City Police have issued a traffic advisory following the Railway Department’s decision to close down the Tilakwadi Fourth Railway Gate in Belagavi for a year to enable construction of a railway underbridge.

The gate will be closed from June 20, 2025 to June 19, 2026. Traffic will be diverted away from the gate.

Police Commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabarao has in a release said that vehicles coming from Angol to BEMCO will have to travel via D.V.S. Chowk, Harimandir Road, Anagol Naka, Third Railway Gate Overbridge and then proceed to Khanapur Road.

Similarly, vehicles from Khanapur to Anagol via BEMCO Circle and Fourth Railway Gate will be diverted from BEMCO Circle via Third Railway Gate Overbridge, Anagol Naka and Harimandir Road. This advisory is valid for a year, the release said.
