This summer transfer window is already being described as an all-timer, with some stunning deals involving thousands of crores and the biggest clubs in the world. But like always, deadline day is a different beast altogether, as clubs frantically try to fill the gaps in their squads and emerge the ‘winner’ of the deal with favorable negotiation terms.

What is the deadline?

For the uninitiated, the deadline time has been brought forward this year. Clubs now need to ratify their deals by Monday, 1 September at 19:00 BST (11:30 pm IST) for Premier League and English Football League (EFL) clubs, and 23:00 BST (3:30 pm IST) for those in the Scottish Premiership.
