The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) has taken up a review of the status and performance of its Kalyana Mandapams across the country to improve their utilisation.

At an internal audit meeting chaired by Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal here on Monday, he directed Joint Executive Officer V. Veerabrahmam to prepare a detailed status report on the Kalyana Mandapams, classifying them as well-utilised, under-utilised, modernised and otherwise, to enable the management to frame a comprehensive utilisation policy for devotees.

Mr. Singhal also instructed officials to make the Facility Management System app, which provides accommodation facilities to devotees in Tirumala and Tirupati, more accessible. He suggested introducing QR codes to facilitate easy downloading of the app and enable devotees to directly submit their feedback.

Reviewing TTD’s fixed assets such as fields, sites and other landed properties, he called for consultations with experts to ensure stable and accurate records. He also directed that the register containing details of Tiruvabharanam, the sacred jewels adorned on deities during regular and festive occasions, be digitised with proper documentation.

The meeting discussed the need for timely payments to contractors by the Engineering Department, filling vacant teaching posts in TTD-run Veda Patasalas, completion of pending works under the Forest Department and the introduction of a biometric attendance system for sanitation workers.

Chief Vigilance and Security Officer K. V. Muralikrishna, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer O. Balaji and Chief Engineer K. Satyanarayana were among those who attended.
