A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Muzaffarpur late Wednesday as two promising young lives were tragically cut short. Rishabh Kumar, 21, and Shashi Ranjan Kumar, 23, were involved in a devastating motorcycle accident when their bike lost control and crashed into the divider at Gobarsahi Chowk.
Patna: Two persons were killed in a road accident in Muzaffarpur district late Wednesday night. The incident occurred near Gobarsahi Chowk under the Sadar police station area, where a speeding bike lost control and collided with the divider.
Both riders died on the spot. The police seized the damaged bike and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination at Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH).As soon as information reached them, personnel from the Sadar police station rushed to the accident site.Sadar SHO Ashmit Kumar said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the bike crashed after hitting the divider. The youths who lost their lives in the accident were identified as Rishabh Kumar (21), a resident of Prabhat Nagar in the Sadar police station area, and Shashi Ranjan Kumar (23) from the Sahebganj police station area.
Police are also investigating the speed of the bike at the time of the accident and whether the rider was wearing a helmet.
”The news of the deaths plunged the families into mourning. “The New Year’s happiness was extinguished in a moment,” officials said, adding that silence spread through the homes.Police said all aspects of the accident are being investigated and further legal action will be taken.
