Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday (January 5, 2026) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including party president J.P. Nadda and working president Nitin Nabin, in New Delhi, with the BJP undertaking a review of its overall strategy.
“Today, in New Delhi, I paid a courtesy visit to the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and received his guidance. You always infuse new energy, giving further impetus to the development journey of ‘New Uttar Pradesh. Thank you very much Prime Minister for giving your valuable time,” Mr. Adityanath posted on social media platform X, after the meeting.
“I had a courtesy call on the Honorable National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji in New Delhi today. Thank you very much for giving your valuable time,” he added.
“Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the Prime Minister’s Office said on X.
The meetings come amid the buzz of a Cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh as the party is looking to reshape its caste and regional calculus in view of the upcoming panchayat elections, and next year’s crucial Assembly election.
