U.S.-Iran war should stop, says seer

“The war involving Iran, Israel and America and other countries must stop. India must try to stop this war,” Sri Channa Siddharama Panditaradhya Swami of Srishail Peetha said in Yadoor village of Chikkodi taluk on Thursday.

He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the initiative to ensure peace. “He should use his good offices, mediate between the warring nations and work towards peace,” the seer said.

He was speaking at the inauguration of Raj Gopuras at the Sri Veerabhadreshwara Temple and Kadasiddeshwar Math.

The seer also called for the pan-India implementation of the Uniform Civil Code for all.

The seer gave the Abhayantara Bhushana award to engineering professors M.R. Patil and Mohan Dandin who provided free consulting services and supervision of works at the math.

The math has carried out works worth ₹30 crore for around 15 years. This was done under the direction of KLE Society honorary chairman Prabhakar Kore and pro-Chancellor of KLE Technological University Ashok Shettar.

A team of engineering professors, including Prakash Tevari, Geetanjali Rao and Sunil Birade, apart from Dr. Patil and Mr. Dandin, was at hand to see through the work.

Among the buildings constructed in Yadoor are the five Raj Gopuras, the circumambulation path, the silver chariot path, the floor of the courtyard, the front pavilion, the flagpole, the welcome gate, the office of the Kadasiddeshwar Math, the Sri Adrushyeshwara Temple, the cowshed, a pilgrim residence, the auditorium and the theme parks for children.

Sri Siddalinga Raja Desikendra Shivacharya Swami of Ujjain Peetha, Sri Chandrashekar Shivacharya Swami of Kashi Peetha, Sri Mallikarjuna Vishwaradhya Shivacharya Swami, Dr. Kore, leaders Prakash Hukkeri and Ganesh Hukkeri, Minister M.B. Patil, MP Iranna Kadadi and others were present.
