British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the United Kingdom and France have agreed to deploy troops in Ukraine if a peace deal is reached with Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer have signed a declaration of intent on the deployment of a multinational force in Ukraine after the war. The document was signed on January 6 during a summit in Paris.

The meeting brought together European leaders and US envoys to discuss long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.

This comes as the western leaders step up efforts to secure Ukraine after the war and deter any future Russian aggression.
